just moved back to the central U.S. after 20+ years in New York City. I was thinking about living back in horizontal landscapes, the frontier prairie, the layers of cultural histories here and where they've gone, the spread of suburban development, etc.
anyhoo--modeled in the style of Victorian portrait photography of Native Americans.
About 50/50 modo and photoshop(shaggy fur is mostly 2d). a little zbrush added to mass out the bison and for shorter hair.
